Terms and Conditions

1. Payment Policy

  • No credit card needed to book.

  • Card payments are processed securely through Stripe Payment Gateway.

  • Bank Transfer: 25% deposit required within 3 days of booking. Balance must be paid 15 days before arrival.

  • Card Authorization: A valid credit card authorization is required for all reservations. This authorization is essential for securing your booking and providing our services.



2. Deposit Requirement & Refund Policy

  • Security Deposit (at the start of rental):

    • Group A, A1, B, B1: €300

    • Group C, C1, D, D1, E, E1: €400

    • Group F, F1, F2, G, G1, H, H1: €500

  • Zero Excess Coverage (ZE): If you choose ZE, the deposit is reduced to €120 for non-insurable costs (e.g., fuel differences, fines, negligence damages).

  • Refunds: Deposits are refunded within 5–15 days after vehicle return and inspection.

  • Deposit Loss: Violations of rental policies may result in full or partial loss of the deposit.



3. Cancellation Policy

  • Full Refund: Cancellation 15 or more days before rental start.

  • 50% Refund: Cancellation less than 15 days before rental start.

  • No Refund: Cancellation less than 7 days before rental start or in case of no-show.



4. Insurance Options

Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)

  • Included in all rentals.

  • Covers damage and theft with an excess:

    • Group A, A1, B, B1: €400

    • Group C, C1, D, D1, E, E1: €500

    • Group F, F1, F2, G, G1, H, H1: €1000

  • Exclusions: Tires, lost keys, wrong fuel usage, undercarriage, roof, oil neglect.

  • CDW becomes void if:

    • Unauthorized drivers operate the vehicle.

    • Driver is under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

    • Vehicle is used illegally or in races.

    • Accidents are not reported within 12 hours.

Excess Reduction (ER)

  • Reduces CDW excess by 30% for an additional daily fee:

    • Group A, A1, B, B1: €280 (was €400)

    • Group C, C1, D, D1, E, E1: €350 (was €500)

    • Group F, F1, F2, G, G1, H, H1: €700 (was €1000)

Zero Excess Coverage (ZE)

  • Reduces CDW excess to €0 for an additional daily fee:

    • Group A, A1, B, B1: €0 (was €400)

    • Group C, C1, D, D1, E, E1: €0 (was €500)

    • Group F, F1, F2, G, G1, H, H1: €0 (was €1000)

  • ZE Security Deposit: €120 for non-insurable costs (e.g., fuel differences, fines, negligence damages).



5. Fuel and Vehicle Condition Policy

  • Return the vehicle with the same fuel level as pickup.

  • If returned with less fuel:

    • €2.5/liter refueling fee

    • €20 service fee

  • Vehicle Condition: Vehicles must be returned in a clean condition. A €120 fee will apply for excessive dirt, red sand, or organic stains. This fee is not part of the security deposit and is charged separately.

  • Smoking Policy: Smoking is strictly prohibited in all vehicles. If a guest smokes in the car, a €120 biological cleaning fee will apply to restore the vehicle to a rentable condition. This fee covers professional deep cleaning, odor removal, upholstery steam cleaning, and full interior sanitization to eliminate smoke residues and odors.



6. Restricted Terrain and Liability Policy

  • Driving in restricted areas will void your insurance coverage and security deposit. The following areas are strictly prohibited:

    • Balos Cape

    • Spatha Cape

    • Seitan Limania

    • Kedrodasos

  • Penalties and Liability

    • €500 penalty for driving into any restricted area (separate from the security deposit).

    • Additional charges may apply for damage or road assistance in restricted areas, depending on the extent of the damage.

    • Unauthorized towing or relocation without prior approval will be considered vandalism and tampering.

    • The renter is fully responsible for all resulting damages, including repair costs, recovery expenses, and potential legal consequences.

    • Recovery or towing costs in restricted areas are not covered by standard insurance and may be billed separately.

    • A map of restricted areas is available upon request.



7. Road Assistance

  • Available 24/7.

  • Included Coverage: If you add the optional Road Assistance package, you will receive 24/7 help with jump-starts, refueling, tire changes, and towing, without additional per-call charges.

  • Pay-Per-Use: Without the package, roadside assistance is available starting from €50 per call.



8. Additional Services (Fees may apply)

  • Child Seats & Baby Chairs:

    • Infant seat (newborn to 12–15 months, ~13 kg)

    • Toddler seat (1–4 years, ~9–18 kg)

    • Booster seat (4–12 years, ~15–36 kg)

  • Additional Driver: Must meet rental criteria and be present at contract signing.

  • Young Driver Insurance: Available for drivers aged 21–22.

  • Tire & Windshield Protection: Covers tire, wheel, and windshield damage.

  • Accident Insurance: Covers disability or death of driver up to €15,000.

  • Liability Insurance: Included, covering third-party injuries up to €1,300,000.

  • Old Age Pensioner (OAP) Rental: Available for renters aged 70–80 years.



9. Out of Hours Pickup & Return

  • €20 fee applies for any pickup or return services requested outside regular business hours (between 22:00–08:00).

  • This fee covers the additional operational costs of providing after-hours support.

  • Please inform us in advance if you require this service to ensure a smooth experience.



10. General Policies

  • Driving License: Valid for at least 12 months. Non-EU drivers require an International Driving Permit (IDP).

  • Age Requirements:

    • Minimum 21 years for Mini, Economy, Compact vehicles.

    • Minimum 25 years for Premium, Luxury, Commercial vehicles.

    • Maximum 80 years (per Greek regulations).

  • Minimum Rental Period: 24 hours.

  • Late Returns: 1-hour grace period, then extra charges apply.

  • Prohibited Travel: Rentals restricted to Crete Island only.

  • Vehicle Return Location: Return to agreed drop-off point, otherwise relocation fee €50–€120 depending on distance.

  • Free Mileage: No mileage limits apply to any of our vehicles.

  • Damage Assessment: When a damage is noticed, the vehicle will be inspected by an engineer to determine repair costs. Guests will be notified via email and are responsible for payment.



11. Parking Fines Policy

  • You are responsible for all fines during rental.

  • If police seize license plates due to violations, the deposit may be kept.

  • Replacement costs may be charged if plates are not returned.



12. GPS Tracking Information

  • All vehicles equipped with Teltonika FM130 GPS Trackers.

  • System monitors:

    • Speed

    • Harsh braking, acceleration, cornering (G-Force)

    • Geofence violations (restricted areas)

  • Speed and Harsh Driving Violations: If a guest repeatedly violates speed limits, engages in harsh braking, rapid acceleration, or aggressive cornering, we reserve the right to repossess the vehicle without refund.

  • Geofence (Restricted Area) Violations: If a guest enters restricted areas (geofence violations), additional penalties will apply, as described in the Restricted Terrain and Liability Policy section



13. Data Protection & Privacy

  • Your personal information is used only for rental management.

  • No data will be shared without permission unless required by law.
